About Me and This Here Journal-Thing Typically, I'll be found most often on LJ. I'm mainly here for the fandom. Trufax. And to have a vent where I can unleash my nonsense. I'm always open to a message or IM, feel free to ask about whatever you desire! Chances are I'm just blowing off school. (I'll get a degree in fanfic.) Speaking of... I'm a sorta-kinda-maybe linguistics major? Love me some foreign languages, but may just go with a general fine arts degree, because sometimes I think it would be brilliant to be a researcher for some physics Think Tank, and other day being a librarian would be pretty sweet too. And some days I think me and my guitar will really go places because I'm gonna be discovered darn it! And by that point Futurama is back from commercial break. Life and people are, as a rule, ridiculous. Laugh more. Not to say every situation can be whittled away to nothing, but if you're able, have a sense of humor. Things that are super-important: Tea. I need it. I will not drink water without it. I plan on driving myself into a lovely diabetic coma someday, while clutching a mug of English Breakfast rendered nearly solid by the amount of sugar therein. I love to do yoga. And bike. Considering that I am mainly content with diabe-tea and perhaps some cottage cheese, I figure one day my body is just going to start metaphorically laughing and fall apart on the sidewalk. Or I'll melt in the rain. Music is a passion. I can't say why, precisely, only that language is something extraordinary. Morphemes totally get me all hot n' bothered. Physics. Cripes I watch Michio Kaku specials like most people do football games. It's a disease, I tell you! I read more than is probably healthy. Most of it utter crap. It pleases me so. While I can be an obnoxious idealist, as far as money goes I'm disgustingly practical. Plus there's not a whole hell of a lot I want badly enough to shell out the dough for/work for. Thus, I don't have a driver's license. Oo yeah, baby. What a turn on, right? I figure the potential gas, upkeep and insurance money goes to college; and we get bus passes at my school, so it's not a disadvantage! It's an opportunity for adventures with strangers and the homeless! I sincerely believe people are all capable of something outstanding. Humanity is never a lost cause Politics. I waver between foaming-at-the-mouth 'Not my (or anyone elses) Civil Liberties, bitch!' and bland 'We're all going to hell anyway' apathy. But seriously, don't screw around with censorship, mkay? Knowledge gives perspective, plain and simple. If you don't like something? Read up, get informed, be able to support yourself and/or get the truth. If Harry Potter can turn you to "Oh noes, teh Debil!" there was something afoot long before, my dear. I'm rather absent-minded with a tendency to space out, and far too sensitive for my own well-being. A total wet mess after certain aspects of news coverage, and as stubborn or childish as a bad six year-old sometimes. Excessively loyal, far too shy, and eager to please. Also, very easily spooked. Those dippy 'Ghost Catcher' shows on SciFi, or the 'Real Hauntings!' on Discovery? SCARE THE BEJEESUS OUT OF ME. I won't go upstairs for hours afterward. This also implies that I just. Don't. Learn.
